Set Foot Inside the Church

Today we got to go to church. It has been six months. This is where we are supposed to be. We are supposed to gather. Yes, we made the most of our time at home having zoom gatherings worshipping with our siblings and other relatives that live far away.

But I was so thankful to be in the church again today and feel the Spirit, think of all the experiences we’ve had in that chapel, and look around to see all that we have been through over the years with our ward family.
We need each other. We did not become who we are by confining ourselves to our four walls. As I look back on all of my life’s experiences, teachers, classmates, sports teams, girls camps, youth activities, etc, these are the events and people who have created who I am.
I have also included pictures of my May 2019 and May 2020 family calendar. What a contrast. Although we did appreciate the chance to slow down, spend time at home, and focus on what is most important, I prefer more events/experiences/opportunities.
“Our brains are wired for connection.” -Hope Works video
“Don’t hide out in your bunkers until this is over.” Sister Rasband in YSA face-to-face
“Just think of the good each of us can do during this time of global upheaval.” Pres Russell M Nelson
So thank you to every person that has been a part of me and my family.
