Check the draw
Hanna forgot to enter
Not good
Dad is mad
Hanna is sick about it
Still had to go because team roping partner entered her
Longest, quiet drive to Strathmore
Talia, team roping header, missed
Drove back home
Dad fasted that she could hold her 10th spot
TJ texted Sunday afternoon
Hanna held her breakaway spot
Bumped down to third in goats

Successful first day

Nooooooo
Heartbroken
No provincial championship
Why
Tears
From each of us
Presentation minutes later
Hanna has been voted for the spirit award for District 1
Oh wait
They drew for the buckle for the 3 spirit award winners
It wasn’t Hanna
Never mind
Steps back out of the arena
Couldn’t have been worse timing
Text Austin
He is heartbroken
And sad
And mad he’s not there
Hanna to the truck
Text dad
So much for blessings
Decided it’s over
Nothing else she can do about it
Dad’s advice: regroup and go rope
Words of consoling from everyone
Hug to Kaylynn from the mom of the girl who won goats
More tears from Carly
Back to the arena
Breakaway
Jill helping Hanna in the box
3.6 seconds
4th place in the round
Three clean runs
Top 6 girls all missed or had to use 2 loops
She won the average
Goat tying final results
5th place overall
Only top 4 go to nationals
Third place girl in goats – Kenda Statham
Not going to nationals this year
Only a freshman
Her mom, Jody, came to tell me
Hanna can roll up
She can still go to nationals in goats
Breakaway results
Hanna ended up third overall
She gets to go nationals in breakaway
Things are looking up
Maybe there are still blessings
Maybe this is a good sport
Hanna – “What is this day?”
Team roping
Hanna and Talia
Just have to catch
Ride in the box
Talia catches the head
Hanna comes around the corner
Two swings and deliver
Two feet
Pull tight
9.4 seconds
They won the average
Waiting for final results
Carly keeps checking for them to post it
Finally here comes the paper
1st place – Hanna and Talia
What
For real?
Provincial champions
That’s not even their best event
They win saddles and buckles
First place
Not the event we expected to get the saddle for
There are blessings
It all worked out
After a roller coaster day
Austin reading all the texts
Eating lunch with the visiting general authority
Can’t believe it
Going to nationals in 3 events
Go upstairs to sign up
Kenda may have changed her mind about nationals
Down the roller coaster
At least Hanna gets to go
Kenda still not going
Hanna gets to do goats too
Signed up and entered
Walking back to the truck
Kaylynn – “that was an emotionally exhausting day”
Hanna – “I’m doing ok.
I’m proud of myself.
I held it together.”
Yes you did
Yes, Hanna you did.
Provincial champion!
Blessings
Hard work
Talent
