Jill & Larsen Get Engaged

Although Jill and Larsen basically had their wedding planned, they still weren't officially engaged. Larsen flew to Great Falls, and I went to pick him up because Jill had to work.

We knew he was coming to propose, and he was working with Hanna to make a plan. Plus we knew he needed to talk to Austin about his plans to ask Jill to marry him. Austin was nice and created an opportunity for Larsen to talk to him. He asked Larsen if he wanted to go and look at a couple horses at grandpa's. Austin told him he was happy for them and to always love her, work together, stay strong in the gospel of Jesus Christ and to let her be independent and live her dreams.

Then the day came. Jill had to work at Zum's so Larsen worked with the sisters to make a plan. When Jill got home, they went on a horse ride. Then they came back to the hoodoo rocks on the hill next to our land. Carly was hiding with the camera and Hanna was hiding to video it.

Larsen got down on one knee and proposed, and luckily, Jill said yes. Hanna fell off a rock while she was videoing, so that was exciting.

Then the next day they had our neighbor, Tressie, take some engagement pictures on the same hill where they got engaged.

It's official!!

Hanna - Grad Date

LET'S TAKE A FLIGHT TO GRAD NIGHT

We knew that Hanna's friend, Taylor Barfuss, was going to ask her to grad. But he took forever to do it. He was waiting for perfect weather. Then when we found out his plan, we knew why it had to be perfect weather. He had arranged for a friend who has a plane in Hill Spring to take them on an airplane ride around the area. How cool is that???!!!! She text us when they were about to fly over our house so we could go outside and see her. Pretty fun idea!

This is a picture she took of our house from the airplane.

Hanna answered Taylor with cookies and said something like going to grad would be sweet.

The day of grad was rainy on and off all day. We kept looking at the forecast and then the clouds and watching the sky. Luckily in the late afternoon, the sun came out.
Matlin McMurray did Hanna's hair, Savanna Norton did her make-up, and Jill took her pictures. Beautiful!!

Taylor came to pick her up in a brand new truck that he borrowed from Kestin Merrill. They went and took some more pictures with Jill and then went to Grad.

Lucy in the Hail

Our best PE teacher, Erica Burt, hosts a grade 8 triathalon each year. Each grade 8 student can choose to do just one section o a relay team or to do the whole race by themselves. Lucy chose (with Austin's instruction) to do the whole thing.
First she swam, then biked and then run. Right in the middle of her bike ride, it started raining and then turned into a full on hail storm. She just kept going. We were all soaked. I was helping at the finish line, and all of our score sheets were drenched, so we just had to track times on our phones. It was crazy, but what an adventure.
My parents came to watch because they were here for Hanna's graduation. They ran for cover when the storm hit.
