It has been a few years since we have been able to pull off a Waite Family Fun Days gathering. The stars aligned this year and the entire Waite family as it now stands was together for a few hours. Our oldest nephew, Nathan Bennett, got home from his mission to Mexico, and so we planned WFFD around his homecoming. We got to hear him speak in Sacrament Meeting. He did such a great job. He talked about how much he loved eating fresh pineapple and mangoes but the people there were so used to them that they couldn't believe he made such a big deal about it. He compared it to taking the gospel for granted and getting used to it so that it's not such a big deal anymore. In the middle of his talk he said he couldn't think of the English word and had to look up a scripture to find what he was trying to say. The scripture he said was yielding your heart to God. Do we yield our hearts to God? Then he bore his testimony in Spanish. He was a good missionary. We loved reading his weekly letters.
