Jill is a Teenager

(Notice Jill has one boyfriend)

It's official - Jill is a teenager. Happy birthday to Jill!

The day before her birthday was her first school dance. The junior high's dances are the last two hours of the school day. Guess who is at those dances. Jill's dad, the principal. Guess who danced with Jill at her first school dance - her dad, the principal. She secretly loved it, right?

The next excitement of her birthday was that I ordered her birthday present off the internet. Well, it made it all the way to my post office and got sent back for "wrong address." So she will get her new orange hair straightener next week. We did also give her a hoody. And thanks to the grandmas for the birthday gifts.

So after our breakfast of sticky buns and bacon, we headed to Calgary to Spruce Meadows to watch the Masters Horse Jumping Competition.

We, along with 79,469 other people enjoyed the day watching the horse jumping competition. We cheered for the riders from the USA and Canada. The weather was awesome.

Happy Birthday to Jill! We are glad you came to our family.

Wow a teenager! How exciting to begin this fun chapter of your life! We have been enjoying peaches and cake and ice cream and peaches in our cereal and plain peaches and a little watermelon also. My parents got home on Friday and spoke on Sunday. It was a great day! How about your in-laws?

I am loving having Jill in my class. She is such a sweetheart. At least Jill went to the school dance. Reggie didn't want any part of that. I spent half of my supervision shift looking for him and then finally was told that he wasn't even there. Jill looked like she was having fun. Good luck on the teenage years! I will be there along side you in a couple of weeks.

Happy Late Birthday to Jill!

I'm sure she secretly loved dancing with her dad. Did you ever dance with Randy at a school dance?
