Austin's parents finally got their mission call.
They been called to serve in the Nauvoo, Illinois Mission. They report to the MTC on March 12 and will serve for 18 months. It said their primary assignment will be in the Visitor's Center.
They each got a separate letter with the mission call. Jill's joke was that Grandma got called to Kansas and Grandpa got called to Nauvoo. Then Jill's other funny comment, "I need a map." (you have to have watched Singles Ward to appreciate that joke).
Their comments when they opened their call:
"We are not leaving until March, now I have to find a job. I was ready to leave November 1.
Now we have to buy Christmas presents."
They really are excited to go to Nauvoo. It will be the perfect place for them. Six months seems like a long time to wait, but it will give them time to get their pioneer clothes ready.
We are moving into their house while they are gone so we can take care of their house and their animals, and we can keep saving money to buy our dream home and land with an arena.
Now I can start planning our trip to Nauvoo in 2013.

I would love to serve there! I hope the job hunting and Christmas shopping isn't too hard!!
I can just picture Buck and Martha in their pioneer garb in Nauvoo. It seems like a perfect fit.
Congrats to Buck and Martha!
Your dream home and arena better be here Kaylynn!!!
Congratulations on their mission call! The Best part is that they will only have to spend one cold winter in Nauvoo and not 2! And sorry Marilee, but I hope Kaylynn's dream home is HERE!
