Carly and Presley Butler decided to have a joint 14th birthday party since there birthdays are only a few days apart.
We gathered up some friends and went swimming at the YMCA recreation centre in Lethbridge. The pool is only a couple years old and has fun things to do. Plus it wasn't super busy because it was a weeknight. Then we picked up Little Ceasers Pizza and ate it at the park.
The list of girls they invited so big enough that they wouldn't fit in our good car. So we were going to have to fire up the old Yukon - you know it is to the point that it always starts, just not always on the first try. So Carly and I cleaned it and tried to get out the hay smell. The next morning there was fresh mouse droppings in the front of the car. Just what you want when you are about to drive a car of 8 girls to Lethbridge.
We set a trap and I said a lot of prayers that day that we wouldn't see the mouse. Luckily no mouse.
On Carly's birthday we had a high school rodeo. So we celebrated with dinner in Tim Hortons, and then Sarah Lee had made a birthday cake for Carly, so we stopped there for a birthday cake celebration.
