Day #1
Today I am thankful to know that hard things end. Remember the summer of 2017 when it was smoky all summer and then the fire got closer and closer to Waterton and then burned all but the townsite. Eventually the rain and snow came and put the fire out. Then it took 2 years to reopen Red Rock Parkway and 3 years to reopen Akamina Parkway, but after much work and time, they are finally reopened with lots of improvements. Although there are new plants growing, the burned trees are still a reminder of the fire. We will also get through this pandemic - with a lot of work and a lot of time. But it will end. And so right now we can be thankful for the things we still do have in our lives and look forward to the future! #givethanks
Day #2
I am thankful for rodeo and our rodeo community. My 16-year-old self would be surprised at what a huge part rodeo is in my family’s life. #givethanks
Day #3
I am thankful for Jesus Christ. He knows me.
A long time ago, Austin had just finished his master's degree in education and a job opening for the vice principal opened up in his school. He applied but they chose someone else. The next year the position came open again, he applied and was hired for the job. The next day, Debbie Reeder, dropped off a blue tin full of candy bars, movie tickets and a note telling Austin congratulations
and that they were thankful for the great school teacher he was. I was so thankful for the thoughtful gift when I was walking back to the kitchen, I had an overwhelming feeling of love and felt a warmth come over with the message almost as a voice in my mind that said "I know you and your family and I am watching over you." You see it was my plan for him to get the job the first year, but it was in God's plan for us for him to get the job the next year.

Day #4
I’m thankful for my first earthly (and eternal) family. My parents made my childhood magical through picking out the perfect Christmas present, even though their budget was tight. My mom was always patient and never yelled. My dad worked 2-3 jobs most of my childhood to support us. He always made me feel secure when he was there. They taught us to work hard, to love Christ, and to love outdoor adventures. My siblings have become my best friends and I’m grateful for Marco Polo where we can laugh and cry together.

Day #5
My kids all have a love-hate relationship with zoom, but I am thankful for it. Through zoom, we have had church with my siblings, Austin’s siblings (including watching our niece Katie lead the singing while standing on the table), and Austin‘s extended family. We have had birthday parties. I’ve been able to watch baptisms and funerals. We’ve had Relief Society and Young Women lessons and missionary meetings. My kids have been able to still have school through zoom and online learning. Hanna Nunn did six weeks of at-home Missionary Training Centre learning (by the end of that, she said she didn’t ever want to see zoom again, but now she is doing missionary work through online teaching all day).

Day #6
Friends make the world a better place. High school friends. College friends. Grown up friends. Friends who take your daughter to the doctor because you live too far away. Friends who laugh with you and cry with you. Friends who treat your daughters like their own. “Get the goblet!” “Vick, I think I’m gonna need six bucks.” “It’s the K-1 crew coming through for you...” “Our dates are in the trunk.”

Day #7
My life definitely changed when I chose to be come a Nunn. And then it changed again when we had 4 young Nunns. But I am so thankful for each of them.
Hanna often says, will it matter in 1000 years? (at first it was mostly to bug Jill), but there are only a few things that will matter in 1000 years, and family is one of them.
