Nunns on the Run

The Young Nunns came to visit Canada.

We went canoeing at Police Lake.

We went to Hill Spring to the Canada Day parade. Although we shouldn't trust the website which said the parade started at 10:30 but it really started at 10. Hill Spring parade is short and sweet so they go down Main Street and then come back again. We caught the parade the second time on its way back.

We went to visit Grandpa at the Remington Carriage Museum and have a carriage ride.

We went to play in the creek.

Carly had planned a Nunn Better Rodeo. She had been planning for weeks and had made a chart of events and called each family to get their entries. She was the judge and gave each of us a score as we competed in pole bending, goat tying and an obstacle course.

Carly had prizes for the rodeo. Declan was the overall winner and Carly had carved Nunn in a piece of wood for the first place prize.

During the rodeo, Taycee drove her mom and Katie up to our house and she locked the keys in the car. They tried using a hanger with no luck, so we tried a few people and finally Mike DeWinter came and unlocked.

To end our Canada Day celebration, we went to watch the fireworks in Cardston. Hanna had her own fireworks when her and Declan went to sit with her friends at the rodeo and Taylor Barfuss held her hand:)  Katie loved the fireworks. Taycee told us that she is going to have fireworks at her wedding.

Sunday was the only time that all of us were going to be together because of the teenagers working. After church, we were going to have a barbecuesteak dinner, a family picture and Grandma's tea party. Right as Taylor and Rod were getting here from Taber, Grandpa and Grandma pulled into our driveway. Grandma wasn't feeling good and Grandpa was taking her to the doctor. Austin and Grandpa gave her a blessing while she was still sitting in the car. She was having a kidney stone, and they ended up taking her to Lethbridge in an ambulance and she had a surgery procedure at 3 am.

What to do now. We ate dinner and decided to take the pictures anyway because it was still the only time everyone but Grandma would be there.
