Hanna was playing at a basketball tournament in Coalhurst. They were in the championship game, and it was in the 4th quarter. Madison Leishman had hurt her ankle so she was sitting on the bench. They passed in the ball to Hanna, and Maddie yelled, "Shoot it" because she thought there was only a couple seconds left. So Hanna takes a shot from half court right as Maddie yelled, "No, don't shoot it." So then Hanna ran in and got her own rebound and made a layup. We had a good laugh.
The varsity team was at a tournament in Calgary. They had lost their first two games so they were in their last game playing for last place. They had two older referees that weren't the best. They had to ice their knees at the breaks. Their favorite call was three seconds in the key. After one of the calls, Austin said, "Who was that call on?" According to Austin, there was no one in the key except for the girl who stepped in and took a shot. The ref said back to Austin that it doesn't matter. So then the other team went to their end and their biggest girl was in the key for a long time. So Austin yelled, "How long?" The ref gave him a technical foul. He said again, "How long?" He gave him another technical foul and kicked him out of the game. It was a crazy reason to get kicked out of a game.
