After celebrating Christmas and a Boxing Day rodeo, we headed south.
First stop, Idaho Falls. Our first choice of activities was to sled and snowmobile but there was not enough snow. So we went into the hills to shoot instead. Julie's family joined the adventure.
I would never have guessed that my dad would own guns and that my mom would be shooting them.
Hanna on a very cool bench in Idaho Falls.
On our way through Montana, we stopped at Costco so Jill could buy her new camera, a Canon Rebel T5i. She took pictures of temples all along the way.
Idaho Falls Temple
Logan Temple
Brigham City Temple
Second stop: Logan. (no pictures to share)
We went out to eat with Doug and Emily. On Sunday, we went to our old ward, Hyrum 7th Ward, where they got a new bishopric. The cool part was that Austin was called as the first counselor with the bishopric that just got released. It was fun to be there and hear their testimonies, along with a few comments about Austin's blond hair.
We also had dinner with the Summers family and then an ice cream cone with Steve and Karma Albiston.
Third stop: Cedar Hills.
We spent a fun afternoon hanging out at Jeanette's house with Rachelle & Nathan and also Diana.
Then we headed to Salt Lake with a few other million people. We ate dinner at the food court in City Creek and then walked around Temple Square.
A visit to Grandpa Reeve (age (91). He is a funny man. Diana has taken such good care of him for the last 5 years.
Grandpa has always waved good-bye when we used to leave his house. Now he waves from his balcony at the Charleston Senior home where he lives now.
Fourth stop: Pitchfords in Montpelier, Idaho
Hanna found the puppy she wanted on the internet in Pocatello, Idaho. We asked the Pitchfords to pick up the puppy and keep it until we came down for Christmas break. Cinch is a super cute puppy. She sat on our laps all the way back to Canada.
Fifth stop: Back to Idaho Falls
We celebrated New Year's Eve with Grandpa Randy and Grandma Carol with some delicious food. Then we went to see the new movie, Frozen.
