| Valentine's Day Lucy & Carly on an Easter egg hunt at the Remington Carriage Centre |
Jill and Hanna each placed 3rd in their age groups in goat tying at Small Spurs Rodeo in Claresholm. They both went into the last rodeo in second place overall, but it wasn't a good ending rodeo, and they both ended up third. They each got a really nice headstall (we didn't want the second place horse blanket with a cross on it anyway).
Hanna was in Show Catz show choir at school. She loved it.
Austin (in black and yellow) at the annual teachers vs students hockey game
Austin teaches a junior roping class at the Agridome in the winter. We have a jackpot heel-o-matic roping on the last day with prizes!
We left Jill home to babysit a few times, and so then we come home to view a complete photo shoot of her little sisters.
We had to say good-bye to Grandpa & Grandma Nunn's dog, Robby. He lost an eyeball a few weeks ago, he isn't really eating much anymore, he has arthritis, he was stumbling around, etc. He wondered into our neighbor's field where our neighbor saw him walking in circles in the bottom of a cooley. Lucy, Carly and I went and found him and brought him home. He was a good dog.
On Easter Sunday, after Jill and Hanna sang with the youth in a Living Christ program, we drove to Taber to be there for Taylor's priesthood ordination.
During Spring Break, we went to Utah. We visited family, friends and went shopping in every spare moment. We also had tickets to the Saturday afternoon session of General Conference. It was Lucy's and Hanna's first time.
Of course we stopped to see Steve & Karma Albiston and had an ice cream cone.
I got to visit with my K-1 roommate friends for a couple hours. I even got my feet zoned by Heather along with lots of talking and laughing.
We all got new dresses. (Notice in the window the April 14 blizzard of snow).
My sister, Rachelle, and her husband Nathan (aka W) had the amazing and heart wrenching experience of being foster parents to 3 kids for nine months (with the hopes of being able to adopt). Then after much pain and court dates, the judge let the kids go back to live with their mom.
They will always have a place in their hearts for Marko (who went back with his Mom a few weeks ago), Katelyn and Mayson.
As soon as the kids drove away, Rachelle and Nathan drove away on a week vacation to the Grand Canyon and Las Vegas. The day after they got back, Nathan's mom, Pat, had a heart attack and died.
Rachelle and Nathan have been through a lot. We love them!
