Spring Break Trip

First stop: Julie's house in Idaho Falls.  We were so excited that it was nice enough to play outside.
Lucy's & Carly's turn to bat.  It was fun to hang out with the John cousins.  Julie was counting the days until tax season was over.
Welcome to Utah!!  First item on the list: Kaylynn's haircut  We also visited the Summers and Albistons.  We had dinner at Firehouse with Doug & Emily (we forgot to take pictures).  Thanks to Doug & Emily for letting us sleep at your house.
We got to meet Jameson, Hilary's new adopted baby.  What a cute kid with awesome eyelashes and a cute smile!
We met Jeanette and her kids, Rachelle, and my Mom at the Gateway in Salt Lake for a fun afternoon of shopping, playing in the fountains and eating ice cream and smoothies (the Dairy Queen dipped cones were the best part of the day, right Jeanette?)  This is Lucy, Carly, Hailey and some random kids running in the fountains.

We had to take a picture of Lola in front of this store.

Crazy kids playing on the toys while we were listening to our new friend - that's exactly right, exactly right, that's exactly right.
We were so excited to wear summer clothes and see flowers.

Hanna holding Lola - the cutest baby of the year.  Lola Fern is named after my mom's mom, Lola Dawn Wright Reeve and Matt's Grandma Fern.

Dinner at Five Guys while it was pouring rain - at least we got to enjoy 2 days of nice, warm weather. The next day we went swimming at the Lehi pool, along with a whole lot of other spring break swimmers.  We enjoyed an afternoon holding Lola and eating dinner at Rodizio Grill.
We stayed at Diana's house. We had to capture this moment of flowers blooming.

After visiting lots of friends and family, we had some serious shopping to get done. Macey's was having a case lot sale and we stocked up on our favorites from Sam's Club.  We also got new Easter dresses, swimming goggles and swim caps so Hanna and Lucy can be in swim club, a bit of horse tack, a few items for Moroni's Quest, etc.  We were successful and we even fit it all in our car.

Lucy thought it would be more fun to sleep under the bed at Grandma's house.

We made it safely back home to Canada to find windy, snowy weather.

Thanks for the fun times and the hospitality.  We had a fun girls trip (Austin stayed home to take care of the animals and get some extra work done at this school).

Looks like tons of fun. We really miss you guys. Next time you come down let us know so we can get the girls together. Maybe go to the park or something.

I can't believe you did that whole trip as a single parent. You are a rockstar!

Lola is a cutie. Don't you love when other people have babies and let you hold them? It is lots easier than having one of your own.

I'm still sad we missed you. I thought later that night that I could have had you pick me up from the Fun Center and gone to lunch in Layton. She could have handled the kids for an hour without me. Oh well. Better luck next time.

I thought I felt little extra sunshine last week! Hopefully the weather warms up in Canada soon ;)!
