Birthday Conclusion

I have to finish my birthday report...

I went out to lunch to Athens Restaurant in Cardston with my quality friends...
Barb Salmon, Marilee Cahoon, Dixie Bevans, and Karen Bevans.
I even got a free birthday dessert. Yummy.

My quality friends gave me..
a Michael McLean CD
lunch at Athens
an I-tunes gift card
Bevans Family Cookbook (it was my idea for her to make one for her girls for Christmas - I am excited that I got a copy!)

Then we went to Jill's basketball game. One of my junior high exercise friends gave me two fabulous notebooks/journals with a Lindor chocolate on top. Yum!

On the way home from the game Lucy was crying because she didn't buy me a birthday gift. So we stopped at the dollar store and I gave them all the money I had in my purse. $4. They bought two things and went home to wrap them. They gave me a Christmas countdown Santa and a Christmas mug with a spoon. Perfect.

Next we went to Austin's school Christmas party. We had a yummy Cafe Rio style dinner. Another one of my quality junior high exercise friends made a cake for one of the desserts and everyone sang happy birthday to me at the party. It was my biggest birthday party ever. Really it was a fun Christmas party.

When I got home Austin's parents had brought over a cake with 36 candles and also a lamp and picture of the the Savior. My Mom sends our birthday gifts in the mail 6 weeks early to make sure they will get there - love ya mom- and she sent me a Michael McLean CD. Sarah gave me a piece of cheesecake - my favorite.

Austin gave me a birthday gift that was a surprise that wasn't even wrapped in Christmas wrapping paper sitting under the tree. It was a framed poem/picture called A Bend in the Road. I love it. So we do have to thank a teacher from Austin's school who did help out in shopping and wrapping the gift. Austin does claim that he gave her a couple ideas to look for.

I also loved my 60 Facebook messages and a few emails and phone calls.

Okay, so having a birthday 5 days before Christmas isn't so bad after all:)

What a quality birthday! I'm glad Austin was prepared this year. No quick trips to Walmart at 11 p.m. when you live in Cardston. :)

The whole "junior high exercise friends" thing confused me for minute. I thought, "her junior high friends still send her gifts?!?" I felt like such a slacker that I am a college friend and I don't send you anything. It all makes sense now.
