We love summer!
We had two of Sarah's kids (Carter and Annie-Jo) enjoy our first week of summer with us. Sarah was at girls camp for the week, so we had cousins stay with us.
One afternoon, Dixie called and said, "Let's go to the creek." So we did. We piled in the back of Dixie's truck and went to the creek. It was super fun. I want to go again.
Next main event: The Farmer's Market
Jill decided she wanted to make flip flops to sell at the Farmer's Market. Sehe worked for weeks to make them, and she sold 8 pairs at school the last few days of school. But not so much luck at the Farmer's Market. Mostly older folks come to browse the market, not young kids who want cute flip flops.
Hanna made pony tail holders and caramels to sell. The caramels almost sold out.
Lucy has been asking for months to have a lemonade stand, but we don't really live in a good lemonade stand location. So she sold lemonade at the Farmer's Market and sold 44 cups of lemonade. She was cute.
CANADA DAY
July 1 is Canada Day, so we started the day of celebration at a parade in Raymond.

Grandpa and Grandma in their winter coats and Grandma with her purse.
One of the coolest entries of the parade

After the parade and lunch at Grandma's, we went to Payne Lake for some quality fishing.
Uncle Rod is the avid fisherman.
Carly was an excited fisherman, too. She kept reporting to Rod every few minutes that she hadn't caught anything yet.
We went for a walk up to Payne Lake Lodge.

The hills were alive with the sound of music.

Then more fishing and hanging out.

Last, we went to the park in Cardston for a party and fireworks. Hanna's school choir started the party by singing O'Canada.\
It was a fun Canada Day. Not quite comparable to the 4th of July, but still great!
Waterton
Austin spent the week at Joe's ranch helping him brand and stuff. The girls and I headed on our first trip of the summer to Waterton (along with a few thousand other people.)
We played at Red Rock Canyon,

hiked to Blackiston Falls,
and then played at Coppermine Creek.

The homemade sign on Lucy's stand is my favorite! Too bad we don't have a farmer's market in our town. Elise has been begging me for the last week to let her have a lemonade stand. I'm just not a lemonade stand kind of mom.
I love that last picture of Carly. So cute!
OH Summer is so much Fun!! It needs to last longer, I can tell already!! Yup, I like the picture of Carly too! Red Rock, Waterton, Creek, some of my favorite things!!

I am so mad I missed the farmer's market last week. I am totally planning on being there this Thursday and sampling the Nunn Girl's wares. The lemonade stand was my favorite picture. Here's to more great weather and fun summer activities!
What a great first week off of school! The girls are so cute and I loved the lemonade stand. Leave it to you to be super creative and set one up at the Farmer's Market! Savanna was very impressed by the flip-flops, by the way.
You guys have been so busy since school ended. WOW!
So did anyone catch any fish?
