O Canada - One Year Anniversary

Today is our one year anniversary of moving to Canada. I think we have experienced every possible emotion in the last year:
scared
frustrated
humble
happy
excited
loved
missed
homesick
etc, etc.

Today we celebrated by running in the Cardston Kids Marathon. Everyone that signs up runs/walks 25.2 miles on their own over a few months, and then we all run/walk the last mile together. It was the most beautiful day of weather we have had since we moved here a year ago.

My kids with their cool friend Taylor Lewis.

Our quality friends the Salmon family.

Lucy and I ran together pushing Carly in the stroller.

At the end they gave us all medals and lunch.

Hanna and her cool friends

(Malin, does it bug you that I don't crop my pictures before I post them?)

Wow, only a year since I met you at the window asking "What is the purpose of your trip?" I could see some of those emotions that day. So glad you made the trek north and I'm even more glad that we actually have a summer day to celebrate!!
Fun pictures,(cropped or not). Good for everyone that did the Run!

I feel so famous to get a personal question on your blog. Here's the good news: I have never looked at your blog and thought "she should have cropped that picture." I'm really only self-critical about thing like that. I'm not critical of others. I just like seeing what your family is up to.

I'm glad you saw a friendly face at the border window. I wish we could have had Dixie Dee too. I don't know who we had because that whole experience was a blur, probably because my eyes were tearing up. I felt all of those emotions too, with frustration being #1.

Well, we are super glad to have you guys here. Now Kaylynn. Surely we had one nice day last summer as nice as the last few. You would know though because you were probably wondering why you moved here with the weather being so crummy.

Ok, I will finish up here.

Love the windmills.

Love the kids marathon idea of having them run on their own until the last mile - and what 'sporty' girls you have!

Oh Kaylynn, I am so sorry but it is totally true that day was the nicest day we have had in the last year! It makes me want to cry!
