June

Nunn June events:

Jill played spring basketball with the 7th grade team. They went to Lethbridge for 3 tournaments. They were the champions of the last tournament. Good job Jill!

Jill and Hanna were each in 3 events at the divisional track meet.
Jill placed second in the triple jump and 5th in the 200 meters.
Hanna placed second in the 100 meters and 200 meters.

I took our pony, Sparky, to school to give rides to Lucy's class and Hanna's class.

Even Hanna's teacher, Mrs. Quinton, went for a pony ride

Youth Days: Our stake has an all day softball tournament. Austin coached one of the teams. They played 5 games in one day. They were the winner of the losers.

Eating lunch during youth days at the opening of the new soccer park. Notice the wind blowing the Canadian flag - a very common sight.

Soccer Time

We had 4 kids in soccer this year. Fun! Crazy!

We had lots of windy days, a few rainy days, a few indoor soccer days and a few nice days.

The kids had fun, but we wish we had more game time and team practice time (it was mostly like a soccer camp situation for the whole season with two British soccer coaches until the last day of tournament games.)

O Canada - One Year Anniversary

Today is our one year anniversary of moving to Canada. I think we have experienced every possible emotion in the last year:
scared
frustrated
humble
happy
excited
loved
missed
homesick
etc, etc.

Today we celebrated by running in the Cardston Kids Marathon. Everyone that signs up runs/walks 25.2 miles on their own over a few months, and then we all run/walk the last mile together. It was the most beautiful day of weather we have had since we moved here a year ago.

My kids with their cool friend Taylor Lewis.

Our quality friends the Salmon family.

Lucy and I ran together pushing Carly in the stroller.

At the end they gave us all medals and lunch.

Track Stars

Jill and Hanna were in their first ever Track and Field Day. They did awesome and it didn't even rain. Hanna placed in all of her events, and Jill placed in 5 out of 6 of her events.

Hanna:
4th in High Jump
2nd in the 100 meters (she is still mad about that)
3rd in Triple Jump
3rd in Long Jump
1st in 200 meters
1st in 4X100 relay

PLUS she ended up getting the award for Overall 4th Grade Girl Winner
WAY TO GO HANNA!!!!

Jill:
3rd in 800 meters
5th in 200 meters
2nd in 1500 meters
2nd in Triple Jump
2nd in 4x100 Relay

Jill's Comment: I was actually going faster than that, this is a bad picture!!

Lucy and Carly are faithful, supporting little sisters.

After a day of track and field, we went to watch Jill and Hanna play soccer.

At the end of the day we had to go and pick up horses who had been at the horse shoer, and this is what Lucy and Carly looked like by the end of our long, fun day.
