Mother's Day

My family cooked the meals and cleaned them up today:

Breakfast: omelet, toast, smoothie

Dinner: steak, twice-baked potatoes, fruit salad, rolls

Carly gave me a strawberry plant and note from preschool:

Carly's 5th Birthday

Carly has been talking about her birthday for 4 or 5 months. It finally came.

April 29
Weeks ago Carly told me she wanted chicken, watermelon and brownies for her birthday.  We had watermelon for breakfast along with the sticky buns.  Then I went to make dinner, and she said, I don't want chicken.  And I want cupcakes, not brownies.  So we had lasagna and cupcakes to celebrate Carly's birthday.

Carly had her first friend birthday party. We played with balloons, painted fingernails, played Hullabaloo, played with the puppies, had a pillow fight, opened presents and had cupcakes.
