Kaela & Joel Tie the Knot

Our cousin, Kaela Lee, has dated a lot of boys and has even been engaged or almost engaged a few times. But then she met Joel Bhaskaran. He is by far our favorite and so happy that Kaela found him. He is from Bahrain, a small island country near Saudi Arabia. He came to Canada to go to school and has been here for a few years. 

Kaela and Joel decided to have a small wedding ceremony this year and then have a big celebration next year, mostly to give Joel's family time to prepare to come.

Joel's parents did come for the wedding, and they had a nice little ceremony and then a potluck dinner at their house.

 

Spring High School Rodeo Season

 

Women's Basketball Spring League Champions

Cardston has a women's spring basketball league that is really fun. They play twice a week for about 6 weeks. Hanna, Lucy & Carly were all on the same team. Hanna missed the first game or two because she wasn't home from school yet. Having all 3 of them here for May probably won't ever happen again, so it was fun to watch them play. Plus they had a really good team - especially with Logan Van Dusen & Sydney Carlson on their team. They won the spring league championship.

 

SARRC 2022-23

Another season of Southern Circuit has come and gone.

Carly won the Junior All-Around saddle.

She also placed in Junior Poles, Junior Barrels 2-d and Junior Goat Tying.

She only won the saddle by a couple of points - especially because the last rodeo she didn't do great in her events and didn't really get any points.

Thanks to 1st Choice Savings & Credit Union for sponsoring the saddles for so many years.

This was Lucy's last official year competing in Southern Circuit. She did win the Open Goats buckle.
