Carly at Junior High Rodeo Provincials

Carly had a great junior high spring rodeo season.
She qualified for provincials in pole bending, goat tying and breakaway roping. Austin, Carly and I went to Rimbey, Alberta for the junior provincial finals.
She was the regular season winner for goat tying for District 1.
For goat tying, her first run was 10.1 and 6th place.
Her second run was 10.8 and 14th place - not great.
3rd round - fell on her way to the goat 11.7

Breakaway:
1st Round - missed
2nd round - 2.9 tied 1st
3rd Round - missed

Pole Bending:
1st Round - knocked a pole
2nd Round - didn't place

Hanna and Lucy came on Sunday as supporters - what great sisters:)

60th Birthday Party for BFFS

Dixie Bevans and Shauna Smith both turned 60 this spring, so we had to celebrate!
We went to Dixie's sister's cabin near Rocky Mountain House. After Dixie remembered where the secret key was hidden, we had such a fun weekend. We ate, we laughed, we played cards, we went kayaking, we sat in the hot tub, we went on walks, we went out to dinner.
On our way home, we shared with each other what we thought each other's "gifts from the Creator" are.
Lucky to have great friends.

Spring Rodeo Season

I don't always take very many pictures at high school rodeos - mostly just videos of the girls' rodeo runs. But we had a good spring rodeo season - Carly in junior high and Lucy in high school. Win some, lose some. Lots of miles. Lots of memories.
