45 years ago my fantastic in-laws drove from Vanderhoof, BC to Cardston in a blizzard to get married. Who would have guessed that we would both by living in Cardston in 2016? Happy Anniversary!! #goingtocelebratebygettingnewhearingaids #oldpeopleprobs#thengoingtofirestonefordinner #whatkindofpopsyougot

About 50 years ago, Nora Olsen sewed this quilt as a fundraiser to get enough money to buy an organ for the Leavitt church. The quilt is sewed with 1700 pieces that people paid one dollar each for and she put their name on their piece with a typewriter. The church matched her $1700 and they had enough money to buy an organ and piano. I think it's the coolest story I learned last night at the Relief Society dinner. #leavittrocks #amazingheritage#quiltingwasherbagofbeans #sharegoodness

Carly got baptized today! It was the most perfect weather day of the year! And we had a huge surprise when our adopted Grandma Karma Albiston came all the way to Canada for the baptism! Grandpa Randy Waite & Grandma Carol Reeve Waite also made the journey to be with us today. And the beautiful dress made by Aunt Sarah Nunn Lee!
After Carly was baptized, she said, "My sins are in the water."

Families that go hiking in the rain together, well what can I say...

Quote of tonight's dinner conversation by Hanna Nunn: if my parents didn't want to pay for me, then they shouldn't have had me:)
It's so nice to have all my chicks back in the nest tonight:) we missed you Hanna Nunn. Thanks to the Pitchfords for keeping this crazy kid!
Jill Nunn is celebrating her last hour of childhood!

Carly's family home evening lesson on dating on our way to Waterton: First of all, don't date until you are 16. And don't go kissing on the first date. And make sure you like him. And girls if you wear lipstick that means you want to kiss. And if you go on a double date don't get mixed up which date is yours. Have fun. Tell your mom and dad where you're going. Take pictures so you remember it. And don't do dumb things. And make sure your date is wicked cute. #practicingkissing #girlsaregoofy

Every week in grade 6 language arts they have gratitude Wednesday. Sometimes they write letters or notes, but today they each called someone to tell them thank you. Lucy made Austin's day with her phone call of thanks. #tearsonbothendsoftheline photocred: Sam Martine

This is not my usual view on my way to church, but I was so thankful I could go to church today.
*I appreciated the organist who played loud and fast and changed the stops in between each verse.
*i appreciated the two bishopric members and two members that came to ask me where I was from.
*i appreciated taking the Sacrament and the special tray that had one piece of bread - probably with gluten free bread
*i appreciated the cultural diversity
*i appreciated attending Sunday School and Relief Society (I'm usually hanging out in nursery )
*i appreciated hearing others' testimonies of the Savior and the scriptures
*i appreciated my 25 minute walk to church in the sunshine with no wind
It was the perfect way to end an amazing weekend with my quality college roommates from 20 years ago! They all flew out earlier than me so I was solo going to church.

This is one of my favorite scriptures. It was on the program at my Grandma Reeve's funeral in 1984. #lighttheworld #tryingtobelikeher

This is my Mom! It's her birthday. Happy Birthday, Mom!
Day 12 for Light the World was to pass down something your parents taught you. Here are a couple things my mom taught me:
*To eat dinner as a family every night (that meant 5:30 pm)
*To love music
*To accept and fulfill callings
*To celebrate holidays
*To eat treats (sometimes sneaking into the treat cupboard)
*To say thank you (although I don't write thank you notes like she did)
*To bring snacks in the car
*To do your hair & your kids hair every day
That's all for now. I love you, Mom!
