Leavitt Ladies Horse Ride

Treena Merrill, me, Karen Bevans, Marilee Cahoon, Neysa Pierson, Dixie Bevans and Shauna Smith who took the picture and refuses to be in pictures:)

Even though the forecast was for rain, we had an awesome horse ride to Wishbone by Waterton. Salsa was a fantastic horse for me to ride. We saw lots of bear droppings but luckily we didn't run into any bears. It did start to sprinkle on us right before we got to the truck and it was pretty much pouring by the time we were loaded.

Jill is an adult!!!

Carly gave Jill a birthday massage. When you turn 18, you get old and frail so you need lots of special treatment.

Carly also had some special dance moves for Jill's birthday, and she gave her a birthday popping with this yellow pen that pops out. Carly keeps us laughing.

We went to a high school/junior high school rodeo for Jill's birthday in Pincher Creek.
Carly sang the national anthem because the girl that was supposed to do it wasn't there.  We also told the announcer that it was Jill's birthday, so she sang to her over the microphone.

Jill and Hanna had a good rodeo.

Jill won goat tying.

Hanna won breakaway.

Jill and Hanna got 5th place in team roping.

It was Lucy's first junior high rodeo. She did pole bending and goat tying on Happy.

Jill opened her presents when we got home.  You know you are getting old when you get dishes
for your birthday. Welcome to adulthood!

New School Year

The high school started a couple days earlier than everyone else this year but we counted September 6 as the official first day of school.
Jill is a senior.
Hanna is a sophomore or as they say it here grade 10.
Lucy is at the junior high starting grade 6.
Carly is at the Elementary in grade 3 with Mrs. Bright.

I didn't ever get a picture of Mr. Nunn as he started as a principal at Cardston High School.
