Kids Are Cool!

Super Hero Day at school. Austin is Clark Kent and Hanna's shirt says My Dad Mr. Nunn. He is her super hero!

Diana wanted us to take a picture of our current house. We are homeless. We are currently living in Austin's parent's house, but it is not our house. And we are working on buying a house, so it is not our house either.

Jill playing the lead guitar in her Pop N Rock class concert! We will, we will rock you.

Jill got the Cougar Award! Jill also had to give a speech since she was the student body president this year. She did great. She also got the trimester awards for Social and Yearbook and a math award and honor roll award.

Aiden Gibbings, Taylor Janisko, Jill Nunn

Austin had to give a year-end speech also. He did great! His talk was about his fears and wishes and he said that he fears his wife, just kidding.  Thanks a lot!
Hanna got the Track and Field Grade 6 award!

Next, Leavitt Primary Rodeo.

Hanna was the rodeo assistant and had to demonstrate each event.

Spring Basketball

We are excited when spring basketball comes and we are even more excited when it is over. It makes this time of year fun and busy!

Jill played on a U15 girls team that went to 4 tournaments.
Lethbridge tournament:  1st place
Lethrbridge tournament: 1st place
Medicine Hat tournament: 2nd place after losing a game and battling back through the loser's bracket to play in the championship game.  To battle back through the loser's bracket, they ended up playing 5 games in one day.  No wonder they ran out of gas in the championship game.  They played awesome!  And we had a really fun time playing at the water slides at the Medicine Hat Lodge where we stayed.
Lethbridge tournament:  1st place.  In the championship game they played a team that hasn't lost a game this year.  Jill's team was down by 10 or 15 points all the way through the first half.  The game ended in a tie and went into overtime.  The first team to 4 points won.  Jill's team made two baskets and won.  It was very exciting!!!
Jill got  the MVP award for the Battle at the Bridge tournament in Lethbridge!

Austin coached Hanna's team in the U13 girls.  They went to two tournaments in Lethbridge and one in Cardston.  They were a young team in their bracket with a few girls who have never played basketball before.  They played hard and improved a lot.  Hanna is an awesome player!

 3-on-3 Taber Basketball Tournament
Jill drove us to Taber for a 3 on 3 basketball tournament.  It was her first long drive. She did great (except that one stop sign outside of Raymond that she thought she could roll through instead of really stopping).

Hanna's team played hard against some girls much bigger and older than they were.

Jill's team won 1st place!

Three Cardston teams won first place so they got their picture all together!

Jill also played on the Cardston ladies spring league on Tuesdays and Thursdays in May. The first game she played a little timid, but by the end of the season she was confident and learned a lot from playing with older girls.

Record Breaker

It is Track and Field season.
First, Cardston Junior High track meet.  It was a cool day and then it rained for the last 2 hours of the track meet.

Hanna is the fastest girl in her grade. Wow, she can run fast.
Hanna:
1st Long Jump
1st Triple Jump
1st 100 meters
1st 200 meters
1st  4x100 relay team

Hanna broke the school record for the 200 meters for grade six girls.  She ran 200 meters in 28 seconds.

Carly, the cheerleader

Jill did great, too.
3rd Triple Jump
5th Long Jump
6th 100 meters
6th  High Jump

Next, Westwind School Division grades 4-6 Divisionals
Hanna is also the fastest girl sprinter in the school division.
1st Place 100 meters
1st Place 200 meters
1st Place 4x100 relay team
2nd Place Long Jump
Hanna's long jump

Lucy also had a track and field day. She rocked it - even though they don't really measure or time their events.

Lucy placed first in her heat of the 50 meters and 100 meters.  Go Lucy!

Triathalon
Jill was in a triathalon with school, but it was at the same time as Lucy's track meet so I couldn't go. They had it at St. Mary's Reservoir and she canoed, biked and ran.  Some kids did the race as a team, some as individuals. Jill did it as an individual and got 3rd place!
